๐ What to Do If You Borrowed from an Illegal Lender
1. STOP Paying Immediately
Unlicensed lenders operate illegally. Their loans may not be legally enforceable in court. Don't throw good money after bad.

3. Report to Kenya Police
Visit your nearest police station with evidence of harassment, threats, or illegal debt collection practices.
4. Revoke App Permissions
Go to your phone settings โ Apps โ [Loan App] โ Permissions โ Remove ALL permissions, especially contacts and SMS.
5. Warn Your Contacts
If they already accessed your contacts, send a message: "If you receive messages about my debt, ignore them. I borrowed from an illegal lender who is now harassing my contacts. I've reported to police."
6. Document Everything
Screenshot all messages, calls, and threats. Save as evidence for your police and CBK reports.
